From Waste To Watts !

Through extensive research and in-depth analysis of raw materials, LEHRA® identified agricultural waste as a highly valuable resource for manufacturing eco-friendly recycled biofuel briquettes. To efficiently convert this biomass into sustainable fuel, the company has developed advanced and high-performance Briquetting Plant machinery designed to meet modern renewable energy needs.

Agricultural waste is often burned or improperly disposed of, leading to severe environmental pollution and health hazards from harmful emissions. By transforming this waste into clean, renewable biofuel briquettes,LEHRA® is contributing to a greener environment, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting sustainable energy solutions worldwide.

The Briquetting plant Process

Dual Shaft Shredder

01. What materials can the Dual Shaft Shredder handle?

The Dual Shaft Shredder is the first machine in the pellet production process and is used to reduce the size of bulky biomass materials such as wood logs, branches, agricultural waste, pellets, coconut shells, and other organic waste. It consists of two counter-rotating shafts fitted with specially designed blades that tear, cut, and shred the raw material into smaller and more manageable pieces. By reducing the material size at the initial stage, the shredder ensures smooth handling, transportation, and feeding of biomass into subsequent processing equipment. This step improves overall plant efficiency and prepares the material for effective drying and grinding.

Flash Dryer

02. Why choose LEHRA® as a Flash Dryer Manufacturer?

The Flash Dryer plays a crucial role in reducing the moisture content of biomass before pelletization. Biomass materials often contain high levels of moisture, which can negatively impact pellet quality and production efficiency. In a flash dryer, hot air generated from a furnace is passed through a drying chamber where it comes into contact with the biomass particles. The high-velocity airflow quickly evaporates excess moisture, reducing it to the ideal level required for pellet production, typically between 8% and 12%. This rapid drying process not only improves fuel quality but also enhances the performance of downstream equipment and ensures the production of durable, high-density pellets.

Hammer Mill Grinder

03. What are the main benefits of using LEHRA® Hammer Mill Grinder?

The Hammer Mill Grinder is designed to convert dried biomass into a fine and uniform powder suitable for pellet formation. Inside the machine, a rotor equipped with high-speed hammers rotates rapidly, striking and crushing the biomass material repeatedly. The material continues to be ground until it is small enough to pass through a screen with predetermined hole sizes. The resulting fine particles have a consistent size, which is essential for producing high-quality pellets with uniform density and strength. Proper grinding ensures efficient compression during pelletization and contributes significantly to the durability and combustion performance of the final product.

Pellet Machine

04. What is Pellet Machine?

The Pellet Machine is the core component of the pellet production line, where finely ground biomass is transformed into compact fuel pellets. The prepared biomass powder is fed into the machine, where rollers force it through specially designed die openings under high pressure. During this process, friction generates heat, softening the natural lignin in the biomass. The lignin acts as a natural binder, helping the particles adhere together without the need for additional chemicals. As the compressed material exits the die, it is cut into uniform pellets of the desired length. The finished pellets are dense, durable, easy to transport, and provide a clean, renewable source of energy for various industrial and commercial applications.
